Salsa Recipes

Who doesn’t love salsa! Be it the dance or the dip on the side with some corn chips; salsa can always jazz things up. (See what we did there?)
But do you know where it came from? In Spanish language, the humble sauce (yes, the good, ol’ sauce) is termed as salsa. Today, all the dips that we go with Mexican dishes are called salsa picante and the rest continue to be referred to as sauce. Usually, salsa dips are tomato based but in this post we are sharing Chef Bhakti Mehta‘s delightful Mango and Pineapple Salsa recipes – easy, quick and loaded with flavor, these salsa dips will go very well with tortilla chips when served at a house party.

 

Mango Salsa
Ingredients
  • 2 fresh alphonso mango, chopped
  • 1 fresh red chilli, finely chopped)
  • 1 sprig of coriander, chopped
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped (white part)
  • Juice of 1/2 a lime
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Combine all ingredients and let them cool. Serve with tortilla chips.

Mango Salsa

Pineapple Salsa
Ingredients
  • 1 cup of fresh pineapple, diced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 an onion, chopped
  • Few mint leaves
  • Juice of 1/2 a lime
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp of chopped jalapenos

Method:

  • Combine all ingredients & keep cool. Serve with tortilla chips.

Pineapple Salsa
