Know Your Chef

What inspired you to become a chef? Tell us your story!

My husband and children have played a pivotal role in encouraging me to cook. My husband is an equally good chef and started cooking at the age of 13. While he has continuously motivated me to improve my culinary skills and cooking methods, it was my mother-in-law who taught me the basics of cooking. I started out professionally as a chef by providing a tiffin service from my home for the local community. After this picked up momentum, and I gained some belief in myself as a professional chef, I invested in kitchen equipments and began catering to parties. Today, I operate these two services under the brand name Sonica’s Kitchen. My journey as a chef so far has been nothing short of amazing and I can say that it’s one of the best decisions I have made in my life.
