A Gujarati dish of gram flour and powdered spices shaped into dumplings, steamed and cooked in a curry; to be relished with baked chapatis; accompanied by a Gujarati rice delicacy. This platter also includes a snack, patra, wherein a batter of gram flour mixed with powdered spices is smeared on nutritious colocasia leaves, rolled, steamed and then sauteed with spices; served with chutney on the side.
