A slightly spicy Maharashtrian delicacy of rice cooked with traditional spices; to be relished with salan of large green chillies cooked in a curry with tamarind and spices. This platter also includes a Maharashtrian snack of gram flour mixed with coriander leaves and masalas to form a batter, steamed in a mould, cut into cubes (wadi) and sauteed with spices; accompanied by a dessert of roasted vermicelli cooked with milk, sugar and flavoured with sweet spices.
