A Parsi lentil preparation wherein lentils are cooked with vegetables, mashed thoroughly, cooked with tamarind and a special dhansak masala of cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds, onions, ginger, garlic, chillies and coriander seeds; best relished with brown rice.
