A Rajasthani lentil preparation wherein cooked lentils are mashed, made smoky by adding burning charcoal on betel leaves, brought to a boil with milk, cream, yogurt, cloves, cardamoms and finished off with a seasoning of ghee, cumin seeds, garlic, chillies and saffron; to be relished with rice
