A much-loved delicacy from Karnataka wherein rice and lentils are cooked together with brinjal slices, beans, carrot chunks, potatoes and tomatoes, flavoured with bisibele bhaat and sambhar powder, finished off with a dollop of ghee and a garnish of coriander leaves; served with delightful masala vadas, a traditional South Indian sambhar and tomato chutney on the side.
