What inspired you to become a chef? Tell us your story!

Food is something you grow up with and falling in love with it came naturally to me. I started working as a chef in a Malaysian restaurant 20 years back and I received an opportunity to work with some of the best chefs of Pan-Asian cuisine. I learnt recipes and special cooking methods that will stay with me for life. Cooking still surprises me with its mysteries everyday!

Which celebrity chefs do you admire the most?

I have worked with chef Lung and chef Hui and I completely admire their work. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor is also a favourite.

What do you do in your free time?

I like trying out new recipes and improvising on the existing recipes to make them better.

Have you tried food from Holachef? How was your experience?

Yes, I’ve tried delicious dishes by chef Sandeep and chef Ravi.

Which dishes do you love to cook and why?
I love cooking Mughlai food.

Someone famous you would like to cook for?

I’ve cooked for Anil Ambani in the past and it was a dream come true for me.

Vegetables and chicken.

Which quality should a person definitely possess in order to become a professional chef?

A good attitude and respect towards your peers.
